Yahoo! Avatar Badge

Yahoo! Avatars

I've had a couple of folks ask if the Yahoo! Avatar could be made into a badge. Yahoo! does give the html code to export the avatar to a blog or web page. It updates everytime you make changes to your avatar. Just log into Yahoo! Avatars and click on "Export Your Avatar" and follow the wizard. Then copy and paste the code into your blog.

Hey Christie. Really great blog but am I surprised? I came to your site through Ed's blog. I had been looking for you. I had played around on the Avatar site on Friday but couldn't figure out how to transfer my picture. I will try your instructions. Of course, Avatar doesn't recognize the "older woman" so I will look young and hot on my blog. Hopefully I won't be accused of misrepresenting myself. (this isn't a dating service is it???) Anyway, thanks for the help.

I'm having a bit of a problem with it. I pasted the address into my template & the preview showed the picture in the correct place. I saved the changes and republished the blog. However it still isn't showing up. The address is clearly in my template & whenever I hit preview it is there. Any suggestions? I thought it should show the changes right away. I had the same problem with adding a link. I managed to get two links on with no problem. Thanks.

Yaaayy. It worked! It didn't show up for nearly an hour. Even now it shows up sometimes but not all. What's that all about? Maybe by tomorrow all will be right with the world. Thanks again.

Questing Librarian, thank you for taking us along on your quest! I am benefitting greatly from your posts about your explorations and triumphs - particularly when you give instructions like these! I am going to try bringing my Yahoo Avatar onto my blog now...
